SSL-TTK Ltd, the joint venture between the UK-based SSL International plc and TTK-LIG Ltd that manufactures the Scholl foot care brand, is all set to become the manufacturing hub for all of SSL International's markets in Europe and the Asia Pacific, as well as the domestic market. The manufacturing facilities were set up at the SIPCOT Industrial Estate at Irungattukottai, about 30 km from Chennai, with an investment of about Rs 25 crore. The factory, which produces about 30 million units per year, started production a year ago and has a turnover of about Rs 90 crore, Mr T.T. Jagannathan, Chairman, TTK Group, said.

SSL-TTK has set up a 35,000-sq-ft warehouse, which was inaugurated on Tuesday by Mr Garry Watts, CEO, SSL International. The warehouse will store 400 stock keeping units (SKUs) destined for 92 markets and it will also stock raw material from 10 to 12 different countries. The Scholl foot care product range includes treatment for common foot conditions such as corn and calluses, a range of insoles and shoe comfort project, foot files and accessories as well as specialist creams.
