Fire accident at Dr Reddy's unit

Hyderabad, March 21

A minor fire broke out in a section of the active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) facility of Dr Reddy's Laboratories Ltd at Pydibheemavaram near Visakhapatnam on Tuesday. According to the company, all immediate remedial actions were undertaken and the fire was brought under control. Other than the affected section of the facility where the fire broke out, all other sections of the unit including all production blocks remained unaffected, the company announced. No injury was reported. The API facility at Pydibheemavaram is one of the seven API facilities of Dr Reddy's Labs in the country.
