Birla Sun Life sets up info kiosks

Our Bureau

Mumbai, March 22

Birla Sun Life Insurance has set up information-cum-transaction kiosks in Mumbai. According to the company, these are the first such kiosks in the life insurance industry.

The kiosks are self-service units that provide information and permit transactions to be done online. Customers can buy policies online, pay renewal premium through cheque or credit card, make changes in their policies, and request to meet an insurance advisor. They can also receive information about daily NAVs and fund performance. The kiosks will also serve as a contact point for insurance advisors, agency managers, and the back office staff of the company. Mr Nani Javeri, CEO of Birla Sun Life, said: "We see the setting up of these kiosks as a means to take our products and services to the doorstep of the consumers."
