Nippon Auditronix to expand Noida capacity

Nippon Auditronix Ltd, player in the car infotainment segment, is all set to expand its capacity at Noida. Talking to Business Line, Mr K.S. Giondi, Managing Director, Nippon Audiotronix Ltd said the company is gearing up its capacity of manufacturing car audio systems.

The company, which has a present capacity of 12,000 pieces of car stereos per month is expanding it to touch 30,000 car stereos per month. The expansion is expected to be completed by the end of next year. He said the investment for the expansion would be close to Rs 25 crore.

Mr Giondi said the company would also look at the possibility of setting up another centre in Chennai looking at the increasing prospects of sales of car audio systems with major players making a beeline there. He also noted that the company is looking at exports from the Noida facility, which for the initial stages would be targeting the Asia market.

Mr Giondi noted that Nippon, which has its presence in the car stereos and security systems, is now making its foray into the car navigation systems and has introduced the Nippon Satguide, the first car navigation system.
