DS Kulkarni plans Rs 555-cr projects in Pune and Mumbai

Mumbai , March 22

DS Kulkarni Developers Ltd (DSKDL) has planned construction projects worth Rs 555 crore in Mumbai and Pune. Work has already begun on more than 39 lakh sq. ft. of land in the two cities and is to be completed by 2009.

Among the projects is a mega township — DSK Vishwa — spread over 110 acres in Pune. This eco-friendly township designed by the Ahmedabad-based architect, Mr B.V. Doshi, had recorded sale of 1,000 flats in about 10 days.

The company has built some 15,000 residential units till date.

It has recently floated a subsidiary in the US to take care of its marketing needs abroad, as nearly 85 per cent of its clientele are NRIs, said Mr D.S. Kulkarni, Chairman and Managing Director, DSKDL.

In a press conference here on Wednesday, Mr Kulkarni said the company posted a net profit of Rs 11.9 crore on a total income of Rs 66.46 crore for the first nine months in 2005-06. The land and development rights acquired during this period stood at Rs 29 crore.
