Physical rubber prices resumed the uptrend on Thursday. The sentiments were dominated by the covering groups as they procured the arrivals offering better quotes.

The NMCE rubber futures moved up further quoting the April contract at Rs 83.36 (82.91), May contract at Rs 85.84 (85.53), June contract at Rs 87.00 (86.77) and July contract at Rs 87.60 (87.33) per kg for RSS 4.

The trading volumes totalled 597 lots recording 183 lots in April, 291 lots in May, 104 lots in June and 19 lots in July till mid session.

RSS 3 was flat at Rs 91.49 a kg consecutively for the third day at Bangkok spot. The April futures for the grade declined to 237.6 Yen (90.42) from 238.6 Yen a kg at TOCOM.
