Mumbai , March 23

Reliance Communications Ventures has signed up Mahendra Singh Dhoni as brand ambassador to endorse the company's products and services in advertising campaigns and other promotional programmes.

Dhoni's contract provides for his utilisation for brand endorsements for Reliance Energy too, another Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Enterprises company.

Reliance Communications may sign up more brand ambassadors from the field of music, films and cricket, said Mr Sanjay Behl, Head, Branding and Marketing, Reliance Communications.

"We will use Dhoni's mass appeal to herald an enhanced customer experience across our existing products; and a new and exciting product range in future," he said.

Reliance India Mobile launched two features on its portal - `Dhoni Zone' on the cricketer himself; and `Dhoni Magic' which offers wallpapers and a cricket-based game.
