Castor oil prices continued to rule higher on steady buying on the local edible oils market on Friday, while groundnut oil and RBD palmolein ruled steady on lack of firm buying interest. Castor seed June futures ended lower on stray support.

Castor oil commercial grade was up Rs 2 at Rs 326 per 10 kg. Groundnut oil raw was steady at Rs 443 per 10 kg. RBD palmolein was steady at Rs 379 per 10 kg.

Imported crude soya oil was steady at Rs 353 per 10 kg. Soya oil refined imported was down Re 1 at Rs 372 per 10 kg.

In futures segment, castor seed June contracts were ended lower at Rs 1,640 per quintal on stray support. No trading was reported in castor seed April contracts.
