Retailing Onkyo opens `Wonderland' in Bangalore Our Bureau
TARGETING THE CREAMY LAYER: Mr M.A. Dhandapani, Managing Director, Onkyo, at a press conference in Bangalore on Friday. G.R.N. Somashekar
Bangalore , March 24 With the entry of big retailers in the country, migration of business from dealers to these retailers is bound to happen. To lessen the impact of this trend in retailing , Onkyo has launched Onkyo Wonderland, a high-end store that offers end-to-end entertainment solutions. The first Onkyo Wonderland, opened in Bangalore today, has enabled an existing dealer to upgrade to sell high-end products. "The offerings here will be knowledge-based and these dealers will be giving solutions rather than pushing boxes," Mr M.A. Dhandapani, Managing Director, Onkyo Sight & Sound India Pvt Ltd, said. About 8-10 dealers across the country have been chosen to upgrade to Onkyo Wonderland. With this move, Onkyo will be a platform for home entertainment sporting different brands, products, applications and user benefits under the umbrella brand Onkyo. Apart from its mainline audio-video products, Onkyo has tied up with brands such as ELAC speakers, M&K Sound and Omni Mount furniture.
