Infrastructure States - Andhra Pradesh YSR unveils first fire station under PPP model Our Bureau
Hyderabad , March 26 The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has unveiled the first model fire station at Vattinagulapalli village near Gachibowli in Ranga Reddy district under the public-private partnership (PPP) model built at a cost of Rs 7.28 crore. The fire station, considered a first of its kind, has come at the AP Fire Services and Home Guards Training Institute located near the fast-developing financial district in Gachibowli, where leading IT companies have started operations. It is equipped with modern hydraulic platform of 54 m, which cost Rs 5.40 crore, six water tenders costing Rs 18.42 lakh each, advanced rescue equipment such as fire suits, breathing apparatus sets, and hydraulic rescue equipment. According to officials, the existing staff of the training institute and the home guards to be sourced by the Cyberabad Commissioner of Police would be deployed for operating the model fire station. Under the PPP model, the builders and IT park developers contributed Rs 1.82 crore to the model fire station.
