CII welcomes power tariff reduction in AP

Hyderabad, March 26

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has welcomed the reduction in power tariff for the industries by 14 paise a unit announced by the Andhra Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission (APERC).

In a press release here, the CII Andhra Pradesh Chairman, Dr G. Vivekanand, described it a healthy sign for the growth of industry in the State. With this initiative, the State has emerged as the lowest power cost State for the industries in the country.
