Goodyear to expand retail network

Our Bureau

Kochi , March 27

Tyre maker Goodyear will add more branded outlets and exclusive shops this year to improve its share in the country's growing tyre market, a top company official has said.

"This year we are adding 42 branded outlets and 17 exclusive shops to our present network of 2,200 outlets," said Mr Antonio Capellini, Chairman and Managing Director of Goodyear India Ltd.

The branded outlets are planned as `shops within a shop' — an area earmarked for Goodyear tyres within a large shop — while the exclusive shops will sell the company's tyres.
