Chennai , March 27

Millennium Global Business Solutions, a California-headquartered company with expertise in implementing process excellence solutions, plans to expand its activities in India.

It started its operations here recently and has held workshops on Six Sigma, a methodology that provides techniques and tools to improve a business process, - at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce - Chennai chapter.

According to Dr Shree Nanguneri, President and CEO, Millennium Global Business Solutions, the company plans to ramp up its activities in corporate deployments involving training and project support related to process excellence through techniques such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.

He said the company viewed the South Asian region as offering good business potential for implementing these solutions. Millennium Global offered hardware and software products that influence the effectiveness of the training initiative at any level.

Six Sigma

Six Sigma, he said, relied on statistical techniques to reduce defects and measure quality. The process excellence initiatives would result in significant reduction in internal costs, leading to direct bottom-line savings, and assure a value proposition with high return on investment.

The company will hold in-house and public workshops and training sessions, seminars to build awareness on process excellence and carry out business readiness assessments to determine areas of focus, said Mr Nanguneri.
