Outsourcing Sutherland new Manila facility inaugurated Our Bureau
Chennai , March 27 New York-based Sutherland Global Services, a business process outsourcing service provider, has ramped up its Philippines headcount to over 750 against a phase one target of 500 professionals. It forayed into Philippines in mid 2005. Ms Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, President of Philippines, today inaugurated Sutherland's new facility in Manila. Sutherland plans to double its headcount over the next six months to take the total strength in the Philippines to over 1,500 employees. Sutherland's global employee base is over12,000 professionals, with over 8,000 in India, says a company press release. The company is in the process of setting up a service delivery centre and training infrastructure in Kochi and expects to hire 3,000 professionals over the next three years. Sutherland's Kochi operation is scheduled to be operational in the third quarter of 2006, according to the release.
