Forex Rupee closes weaker Our Bureau
The Indian currency fell despite strong inflows into the equity market, which moved up strongly on Monday. The rupee is likely to end the fiscal at levels of 44.80, said dealers, as there would be month-end demand. The forward premia were almost unchanged with the one-year closing at 1.65 per cent (1.7 per cent) and the six-month closing at 1.86 per cent (1.92 per cent).
