Alliances & Joint Ventures Bajaj Allianz General, Kalupur co-op in pact Our Bureau
Ahmedabad , March 27 Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Ltd and Kalupur Commercial Co-operative Bank, a leading urban co-operative bank in Gujarat, have announced a bancassurance deal. As per the memorandum of understanding signed between the two companies, Kalupur Bank will distribute the entire range of products offered by Bajaj Allianz, the company's National Head-Bancassurance, Mr Atanu Singh Mukherjee, said here on Monday. Bajaj Allianz has devised a customised bancassurance module that meets the needs of its various bank partners. It has made substantial investments in information technology and the customised software is capable of handling over one million transactions, Mr Mukherjee said. Kalupur Bank has 32 branches spread across Gujarat and also has a presence in Mumbai.
