Bulk buying of HFCL shares

Mumbai , March 28

Morgan Stanley & Co International bought 67.04 lakh shares of telecom equipment maker Himachal Futuristic Communications Ltd (HFCL) from the stock market over the last two trading sessions, driving up the share prices on Tuesday. After buying 37.60 lakh shares on Monday at Rs 22.58, the US-based fund bought another 29.448 lakh shares on Tuesday at Rs 25.63 per share.

In another bulk deal, `Emerging Markets Management LLC' bought 50 lakh shares of HFCL at Rs 25.70, according to the information filed on the NSE.

HFCL shares shot up by 12 per cent in Tuesday's trade on the BSE to Rs 26 from the previous close.
