Rubber Rubber remains unchanged Our Correspondent
Kottayam , March 29 The physical rubber continued to remain unchanged on Wednesday. The market was almost inactive as there were no active buyers or sellers in the main marketing centres. RSS 4 was static at Rs 83.50 a kg at Kottayam. The grade slipped marginally to Rs 83.50 from Rs 83.75 a kg at Kochi. According reliable circles, certain manufactures from the tyre sector had given quotes for sheet rubber up to Rs 83.75 a kg though they stayed back with dull volumes. The transactions were in an extremely low key as the market activities remained almost stagnated under the shadow of the financial year closing. The NMCE rubber futures moved down as most of the international indices except TOCOM were bearish. The April contract was traded at Rs 83.40 (Rs 83.99), May at Rs 86.10 (Rs 86.60), June at Rs 87.40 (Rs 87.70) and July at Rs 87.50 (87.98) per kg for RSS 4. The April futures RSS 3 improved to 247.8 yen (Rs 94.12) from 247 yen a kg at TOCOM. The per kg spot rubber rates were RSS-4: Rs 83.50 (Rs 83.50), RSS-5: Rs 82.50 (Rs 82.50), ungraded: Rs 81.50 (Rs 81.50), ISNR 20: Rs 82.25 (Rs 82.25), and latex 60% (per ltr): Rs 57 (Rs 57).
