Our Correspondent

Kottayam , March 29

The physical rubber continued to remain unchanged on Wednesday. The market was almost inactive as there were no active buyers or sellers in the main marketing centres.

RSS 4 was static at Rs 83.50 a kg at Kottayam. The grade slipped marginally to Rs 83.50 from Rs 83.75 a kg at Kochi. According reliable circles, certain manufactures from the tyre sector had given quotes for sheet rubber up to Rs 83.75 a kg though they stayed back with dull volumes.

The transactions were in an extremely low key as the market activities remained almost stagnated under the shadow of the financial year closing.
