Starcom bags Alkem Lab account

Likely to come up with products in `functional foods' space

Mumbai , March 30

Starcom MediaVest Group has been appointed the media planning and buying AOR (agency of record) by Alkem Laboratories.

The appointment is one of the first and formative steps of the company in getting into marketing consumer products and thus they have taken Starcom's help to guide them through their contact planning and investment. They are likely to come up with products in the `functional foods' space.

Commenting on the appointment, Mr Praful Gupta, Marketing Manager, Alkem Laboratories, said, "I have worked with Starcom before, when they were handling Balsara and I am aware of their professional, passionate and the nuts and bolts approach to communication and contact planning."
