AP: Fishermen plan rally

Our Bureau

Visakhapatnam , March 30

The fishermen in the district plan to hold a massive rally and stage a demonstration at the collectorate on Saturday.

A day after the all-party meeting in Hyderabad on the Gangavaram port dispute, which led to the killing of a fisherman in Monday's firing, the fishermen of the village are of the opinion that nothing much has been achieved at the meeting.

``We have also decided to go ahead with stopping of the work at Gangavaram Port from April 3,'' said Mr Rajesh, General Secretary, Gangavaram Fishermen Joint Front.

On the all-party meet, he said, "We had high expectations but the outcome is disappointing."
