Integreon plans facility in London

Moumita Bakshi Chatterjee

Sees rapid growth in legal support area, research market

New Delhi , March 30

The business process outsourcing (BPO) company, Integreon, is planning to set up a delivery centre in London with an initial capacity of 50 seats, even as it mulls establishing a low-cost offshore operations facility.

"We expect the delivery centre in London to be operational in the coming six months, and are also considering low cost offshore operations in the Philippines or South Africa. In addition, we are looking for a new location within India. We are considering various places such as Chandigarh, Kochi, Pune or Chennai," said Mr Prashant Chawla, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Integreon.

The company now has delivery operations in Mumbai (one facility each in Powai and Andheri) and recently established a centre in New York.

"For London centre, we plan to start relatively small and will try to support customers in a limited way. The operations would focus on fast turnaround work, or activities that clients do not want to take offshore. We plan to start with 50 seats, but the capacity will grow with business," he said.

Integreon now operates in four service lines, including document content and graphics services, knowledge services, document discovery support and business administration services. The company had announced the acquisition of the electronic discovery services business from Bowne & Co Inc in January-end this year. Integreon had said that the acquisition would broaden the BPO company's ability to support lawyers' electronic data and document management discovery demands.

"The legal support area is growing rapidly for us. The acquisition we made in the US gave us a stronghold in litigation support and legal research market. That is the area we will grow in India. We plan to hire people with legal and professional services background."
