Corp Bank to stay open longer today

In order to facilitate the payment of direct and indirect taxes by the assessees, Corporation Bank has decided to keep open the authorised branches across the country for sufficiently longer hours on March 31.

A bank release said here that 480 branches of the bank are collecting direct tax across the country, and 183 branches are collecting central excise and service taxes in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Goa. The bank is collecting sales tax and value-added tax through its authorised branches in Gujarat, Delhi and Maharashtra, the release added.
