Mr Martin Bowen, GM - East Europe, Middle East, Puma, with Mr Rajiv Mehta, General Manager, Puma Sports India at a press conference in Mumbai on Friday. Sports lifestyle company Puma Sports is setting up a wholly owned subsidiary in India. In the past, the German brand has been present in the Indian market through franchisees.

At the press conference, Mr Mehta said, "We are looking at the FDI route in the future but we are still awaiting further directions from the Government about coming in through the automatic FDI route. The company will set up its first store in Bangalore before expanding to more cities."
