Media apathy

There seems to be widespread apathy in the media towards the poultry industry.

This is especially shocking considering that it is a large and important industry for the rural economy.

If it does not recover, crores of rural people will be affected.

More should be done to inform people that bird flu does not spread by consumption of chicken or eggs that has been well cooked.

There is an urgent need to properly educated the public.
