CII-Schwing Stetter tie-up

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Schwing Stetter India, a ready-mix concrete equipment manufacturer, have tied up to provide skill training for youth on concrete pump operation and batching plant operation. CII and City & Guilds (UK) will issue certificates to candidates on completion of the training programme. Mr ParasuRaman,R, Chairman CII-Southern Region, said that the CII works in partnership with the private sector and government agencies to train young people in skills. CII plans to train 5,000 people by the end of this year in various trades and make them employable, he said. Mr Anand Sundaresan, Managing Director, Schwing Stetter India, said that this course would ensure that the equipment is handled in the right which would in turn reduce down time and increase equipment availability. The training would take place at the company's facility near Sriperumbudur.
