Karnataka Bank targets Rs 25,000 cr

Karnataka Bank Ltd has set a business target of Rs 25,000 crore for 2006-07. Addressing the staff members in Mangalore, Mr Anantakrishna, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said that the bank surpassed its business turnover target of Rs 20,000 crore for 2005-06. The bank has set a target of mobilising Rs 15,000 crore of deposits and disbursing Rs 10,000 crore advances during 2006-07. The bank plans to bring its net-NPA within 0.75 per cent during the fiscal, he said. By March 2007, the bank intends to take the total number of branches to 415 and ATMs to 125.
