New Delhi , April 03

Whirlpool of India today launched a new range of home appliances in the refrigerator, microwave and washing machine categories. "With the launch, we hope to achieve a 20 per cent growth in turnover over last year," said Mr Arvind Uppal, Managing Director.

`Fusion' and `Delight' are the company's two new refrigerator brands. The Fusion has features such as automatic de-frost and `Sixth Sense' technology. Its price ranges from Rs 10,700 to Rs 16,000. The Delight also uses `Sixth Sense' technology and comes with a utility drawer. Its price ranges from Rs 11,500 to Rs 19,500. The JetChef brand of microwave has features such as user-friendliness and space management, according to the company. It comes with a capacity of 31 litres and is priced between Rs 15,000 and Rs 18,000.

The company also plans to invest $15-20 million in the next 12-18 months in its three manufacturing facilities in Faridabad, Pune and Pondicherry.
