Honda car sales up 19 pc

New Delhi, April 3

Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) on Monday said its sales grew by 19 per cent in March 2006 at 6,120 cars in the domestic market, up from 5,142 units during the same month last year. HSCI closed the 2005-06 financial year with total sales of 42,727 units in the domestic market, registering a growth of 14 per cent over the previous financial year. This included 37,545 units of the flagship `City' sedan. The company said that it sold a total of 5,466 units of the `City', 507 units of `Accord' and 147 units of the SUV `CR-V' in the month of March.
