FCI bags ISO 9001-2000

Thiruvananthapuram, April 3

The Kerala region of Food Corporation of India (FCI) has been awarded the ISO 9001-2000 quality certification by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Announcing this in the city today, Mr S.P. Sharma, Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards, said the certification covers all FCI operations in Kerala. This is the first time that all units of FCI in a specific region are receiving the ISO 9001-2000 certification, explained Mr A.S. Chhabra, Executive Director-South, FCI.
