Kalyan Silks' Kochi showroom

The Thrissur-based Kalyan Silks, one of the oldest textile retailers in India, is opening a new silk saree showroom in Kochi on Friday. Spanning over 1.25 lakh sq. ft., the nine-storied showroom is set up with an investment of Rs 100 crore. There are over 200 fashion departments showcasing the widest range of mens' wear, ladies wear, ethnic wear, party wear, kids wear, ready-mades and dress materials. The other amenities will include kids play area, cafeteria, childcare rooms and a parking zone to accommodate over 250 cars. Mr P.S. Pattabhiraman, Chairman and Managing Director, told reporters that there are plans to open showrooms in Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode and New Delhi soon.
