Roping in TV host and celebrity Pooja Bedi to endorse its new brand, the company intends expanding its soaps franchise with yet another brand to address the needs of its consumers this summer. According to the research undertaken by the company, Indian consumers needed a soap that not only provides adequate moisturisers but also protects the skin against the omnipresent bacteria. At a press conference here Mr Piyush Jindal, Vice-President (Personal Care), said, "Shiff is a result of understanding the needs of our consumers and providing them with a soap that will pamper and protect them everyday. The market is clearly divided into two categories - beauty soaps and germ fighting soaps. With Shiff, consumers for the first time will have a product that combines the best of these two properties."
