Khaitan diversifies into new products

With a total investment outlay of Rs 20 crore, Khaitan Electricals Ltd has diversified into manufacturing and marketing of compact fluorescent lamps (CFL), miniature circuit breakers (MCB) and residual current circuit breakers (RCCB). It also plans to set up a manufacturing facility for CFL and MCB in Himachal Pradesh, according to a company release.

To augment resources for financing part of its capital expenditure and increased working capital requirement, the company has made a fresh equity investment of Rs 6 crore by way of issue of 10 lakh equity share warrants to promoters on preferential basis, according to the release.
