Meghadeep directory search tool

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , April 4

Meghadeep Business Solutions, a Hyderabad-based company, has come up with a solution that helps people access a smart search engine through mobile phones or landlines.

To access information either about a company or a service, all that a user needs to do is send an SMS 9949596979 or call up 55979797.

Speaking to newspersons, Mr Kumar Dasari, Managing Director, said that the company hit upon this idea as most people on the move find accessing directory information a big problem.

"Given the huge mobile penetration, we felt that such a service would be helpful for people on the move."

The company has evolved a revenue model wherein companies, particularly small and medium enterprises that do not have large budgets, can sign up as members and get their services indirectly marketed.

Already, some 19,000 companies and establishments have registered from all over the country.

Overseas companies can register by paying Rs 2750, while the charge for Indian companies is Rs 1,750; companies based in Andhra Pradesh need pay only Rs 950. The company expects to start operations later this year in Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, and Coimbatore, Mr Dasari said.
