Rate hike hopes boost banks

Dena Bank and Federal Bank were buzzing on Tuesday. Both the scrips touched their 52-week high as buying interest increased with expectations of a rate hike to be announced in the credit policy on April 18.

Dena Bank touched an intra-day high of Rs 41.50, before closing trade at Rs 39.90. Federal Bank gained 2.64 per cent in trade, and closed at Rs 208.15, after touching an intra-day high of Rs 212.20.
