EMC, Delhi engg college sign pact

New Delhi , April 5

EMC (Benelux) B.V. SARL, a subsidiary of EMC Corporation, and Delhi College of Engineering (DCE) signed an agreement on Wednesday under which DCE would offer information storage and management courses as part of its curriculum from July 2006.

"DCE is the first nodal academy in the EMC Academy Program (EAP) in India, targeted at building a resource pool of information storage and management professionals in the country," a company release said here. The agreement was signed by Mr P.B. Sharma, Principal of DCE and Mr Paul T Dacier, Director of EMC in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister, Ms Sheila Dikshit.

As an EMC nodal academy, the DCE will act as the regional hub for the programme in the North. It will support EMC in appointing other educational institutions and training the faculty of other institutes
