Bangalore , April 5

The US-based RSA Security announced the launch of its first exclusive development centre here in September with an initial investment of over $2.4 million.

"The Bangalore centre will work on identity and access management software. It will also build authentication products and work on current fraud protection offerings," said Mr Stan Swiniarski, Vice-President, Engineering, Identity and Access Management, RSA Security Inc. The company is a niche player in the security domain.

The facility would house over 100 employees by the year-end for software development in Web-based access management and quality assurance and technical documentation. The company plans to increase headcount to 200 by the end of 2007 and 400 by 2008.
