Sharp gain in precious metals

Mumbai , April 6

Precious metals jumped up sharply on the local bullion market on Thursday on limited local buying supported by firm overseas markets.

Silver (.999 fineness) was up Rs 385 at Rs 17,870 per kg over previous close. Pure gold prices were up Rs 155 at Rs 8,710 per 10 gm. Standard mint prices were up Rs 155 at Rs 8,665 per 10 gm.
