US legal system

This is with reference to, "Love you, US!" (Business Line, April 5). The author has pointed out how the US judicial system works to render justice speedily and punishes even the high and mighty. But the point is, unlike in India, the high and mighty accept their guilt. Could this be a loophole in our legal system?

Perhaps reform and restructuring the judiciary to render speedy justice may be a right step to pave the way to progress.
