Hyderabad , April 6

Titan Industries Ltd on Thursday inaugurated its boutique in the up market Banjara Hills here and plans five more stores by July 2006.

Described as a "21st century watch museum," the store was unveiled by Xylys brand ambassador Rahul Bose. Xylys is a premium watch brand from Titan.

Designed by architects Ambrish Arora and Rajiv Majumdhar, the Xylys boutique has been conceived as a hi-tech space that allows customers to browse and shop at their own pace. The store allows the customer to shortlist his choice of watches from the range displayed.

Speaking at the launch of the boutique Rahul Bose said "I believe in standing out from the crowd, of never falling into the `ordinary' trap. Xylys underlines the power of this attitude and the Xylys boutique represents this attitude through its attributes." Xylys has been created in collaboration with Swiss designer Laurent Rufenacht and Titan's design advisor, Mr Michael Foley, and is manufactured in Switzerland. The range is priced between Rs 10,000 and Rs 33,000 featuring about 60 models.

Targeted at the premium watch market, the Xylys retail strategy has been devised with a focus on customer satisfaction.

In addition to the flagship Xylys boutiques, the brand will have a presence in multi-branded watch outlets and select World of Titan stores.
