SBT hikes NRE, FCNR deposit rates

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has announced an increase in its interest rates on NRE term deposits and FCNR deposits with effect from April 2.

According to an SBT press release, the revised interest rate on NRE term deposits for periods above one year and less than five years is 6 per cent per annum.

The revised interest rate on FCNR deposits in US dollars will be 5.29 per cent for a period of over one year but less than two years, 5.29 per cent for two years to less than three years, 5.27 per cent for three years to less than four years, 5.30 per cent for four years to less than five years and 5.31 per cent for five years, the release said.
