Vijaya Bank hikes deposit rates

Bangalore, April 10

Vijaya Bank has increased the interest rates on term deposits by 25 basis points to 50 basis points on tenors of one year to three years. The interest rates have been increased by 25 basis points to 6.5 per cent for deposits up to two years. The bank said rates would be higher by 50 basis points for deposits of two-three years at 6.75 per cent. For three years and above, the rates would be 7 per cent. The new rates, which would be applicable to fresh deposits and on renewal of matured deposits, came into force from Monday, a bank release said.
