The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Afghanistan Investment Support Agency (AISA) have signed an MoU to promote bilateral trade and Indian investment in Afghanistan.

The MoU was signed by Mr Omar Zakhilwal, President and CEO of AISA, and Mr Jagdish Khattar, CII National Council Member and Managing Director of Maruti Udyog Ltd.

The MoU was signed in the presence of the Afghanistan President, Mr Hamid Karzai.

With the MoU, promotion of trade fairs and exhibitions as well as information sharing about capacities and environment in relevant industrial and services sectors between the two countries would be intensified.
