Aztec posts 100 pc jump in net profit, revenues

Aztec Software & Technology Services Ltd reported over a 100 per cent jump in net profits and revenues for the year-ended March 31, 2006, from last year. The Aztec board has decided to pay a dividend of 60 paise per share (20 per cent on par value of Rs 3).

The company posted consolidated net profits of Rs 36.87 crore on revenues of Rs 198.23 crore for fiscal year 2005-06, as compared to a net of Rs 17.89 crore on revenues of Rs 98.15 crore during the last fiscal.

For the fourth quarter-ended March 31, 2006, Aztec posted a net of Rs 10.53 crore on revenues of Rs 54.96 crore, a growth of 60 per cent and 52 per cent respectively against the corresponding quarter last year. Sequentially, the net profits and revenues were up by six and four per cent respectively.

The company added 9 new clients — both small and big.
