Call rates at 5.5-5.6 pc

Call rates were between 5.5 to 5.6 per cent as liquidity eased. The total surplus liquidity in the system was around Rs 57,000 crore. In the four-day reverse repo auction, under the liquidity adjustment facility, the RBI received and accepted 31 bids amounting to Rs 26,075 crore in the first auction and 50 bids for Rs 30,975 crore in the second auction. There were no repo bids. The CBLO market saw 381 trades, aggregating to Rs 21,923.65 crore in the rate range of 3 to 5.55 per cent.
