Alliances & Joint Ventures Worksoft ties up with ECMi Our Bureau
Pune , April 14 Worksoft Inc, provider of automated software testing solutions, has tied up with ECMi LLC, to develop new products. ECMi LLC is an enterprise applications development company based in the US with its development centre in Pune. Talking to presspersons, Mr Curtis Hill, Vice-President, Engineering, Worksoft, said the Pune development team, with a current strength of 20, would be working on the new products which would be released as also the upgraded versions of the company's flagship product, Certify. ECMi had so far contributed in the development of version 6.0, 6.1 and 7.0 of `Certify'. It had developed over 50 per cent of Certify 7.0 and would now increase its stake in development to 70 per cent. Worksoft engaged ECMi for the development of upcoming versions of `Certify' i.e. 7.1 and 8.0 which would be released into the market within a couple of weeks and by the end of the calendar year, respectively. He said the Pune centre would also have a support centre of Worksoft, which would help in Certify 8.0. For this, an interface development team would be set up to develop the interfaces compatible with the development platforms, such as JAVA, HTML, etc. In the next calendar year, Worksoft planned to introduce three add-on products in the areas of automated test data generation, bug tracking and business requiring traceability, which would also be developed by Worksoft jointly with ECMi.
