Water levels recede in Kerala reservoirs

Kochi, April 14

Water levels of major reservoirs of Kerala continue to recede. According to figures released for the week ending April 10 by the Central Water Commission at Idukki, the level declined from 2344.76 ft to 2339.39 ft, and at Kallada from 348.43 ft to 343.34 ft. However, when compared with the water levels recorded during the same period last year, Idukki reservoir stood higher by 14.88 ft and Kallada by 20.44 ft. The figures for Edamalayar are not available.
