Metals Hind Copper net up 116% in 2005-06 Our Bureau
New Delhi , April 14 Hindustan Copper Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 112.52 crore and a sales turnover of Rs 1,053.52 crore for fiscal 2005-06. The net profit has increased by 116.14 per cent while sales turnover has gone up by 88.43 per cent, according to a company release. During the year, the company sold 38,788 tonnes of copper of which 1,402 tonnes were exported. . Realisation from sales of byproducts such as gold, silver and sulphuric acid wasRs 41 crore, representing a growth of more than 100 per cent. Simultaneously the company has been able to bring down its interest burden by 20 per cent through repayment of loans and prudent working capital management.
