Letters Pascal's pressure
This is with reference to "Will Pascal's Law work in Lamy's case?" (Business Line, April 15). It is amusing that Mr Pascal Lamy, instead of pleading with the US/EU governments to do their bit to make the WTO negotiations succeed by complying with their pledge to reduce export subsidies and domestic support for eventual phasing out, undertakes a trip to India to explore what it can do for the developed countries to gain greater access in non-farm areas. Tokyo's plans of an agreement with Asian neighbours appear more enticing than a Doha Round on US/EU terms. K. Parthasarathi New Delhi
