CRISIL clarifies

Apropos of news item "Encouraging demand for SMERA's services'' (Business Line, April 11): We have different fee structures for different products and group incentive schemes as per which an SSI can get a CRISIL rating for as little as Rs 7,450.

We would like to bring the following also to your attention:

CRISIL was the first rating agency to assign SME Ratings in India

CRISIL launched its Dedicated SME Rating Services with a dedicated team and rating scales before SMERA

CRISIL has already received more than 270 SME rating requests and has already rated 175 SMEs

We have signed MoUs with seven public sector banks including the State Bank of India for rating their SME customers at concessional fees.

We have tied up with 25 SSI associations to provide service to their customers and members in a cost-effective manner.
