Nearly 200 blood samples of the birds were sent to the High Security Animal Disease Laboratory (HIADL) at Bhopal since 2004-05. All the samples were tested negative. Following reports of bird flu in Maharashtra, the Andhra Pradesh Government sent 873 blood samples from across the State the lab. None of them was tested positive. The Government ruled out chances of the influx of the virus from outside, as the State was a leader in exports.
